What we're looking for:
- Proven experience managing high volumes of invoice transactions, ideally within financial services
- Strong understanding of invoicing processes, revenue recognition and accounting standards
- Proficiency in management accounting - particularly WIP, Accrued and Deferred Income
- Excellent Excel skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
- A strong analytical mindset with the ability to spot trends and provide actionable insight
- Confident communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the accurate and timely production of high-volume invoices, overseeing the end-to-end process from order to billing
- Taking ownership of management accounting for Work in Progress (WIP), Accrued Income and Deferred Income
- Standardising and integrating billing models across systems and teams to ensure consistency and data accuracy
- Driving automation initiatives to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency across the invoicing workflow
- Collaborating with Finance, Sales, IT and Data Analytics teams to streamline billing cycles and support cash flow
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to resolve queries promptly and maintain smooth billing operations
- Developing reporting mechanisms to track invoicing KPIs and business performance metrics
- Supporting and mentoring finance assistants and junior team members
