We have an exciting opportunity for a colleague to step into the role of Accounts Payable Team Leader within our Financial Operations team. If you have a strong grounding in AP or financial operations and are ready to take the next step into a leadership position, we would love to hear from you.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing the end-to-end Procure to Pay function and owning key month-end management accounting processes, all while helping to develop the talented people around you.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum two years' experience in a similar accounts payable or financial operations role
- In-depth knowledge of Procure to Pay processes and reconciliation
- Experience managing or supporting a team, with a genuine interest in mentorship and development
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for advanced data analysis
- Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately under pressure
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end Procure to Pay function, ensuring accurate and timely invoice and payment processing
- Checking the processing of invoices/expense/credit card claims (through Continia) to ensure they are correctly authorised and approved prior to processing
- Generation of payment runs and remittance advices
- Reconciliation of the purchase ledger at month end and performing the necessary month-end routines
- Delivery of our financial objectives, which are supported by robust financial processes
- Resolve or suggest improvements to the purchase ledger processes that support the delivery of the Mattioli Woods strategy
- Monthly KPI reporting to the Group Operations Manager with commentary
- Monthly supplier practice reporting
- Provide training, development plans, and mentorship to finance assistants
