We are looking for an experienced Investment Analyst to join our Investment Research Team, supporting the multi-asset function. This is a broad and intellectually stimulating role, offering exposure to asset allocation, investment research, manager selection, and portfolio oversight within a fast-paced and evolving investment environment.
Reporting to the Senior Investment Manager – Multi Asset, you will work closely with colleagues across the Investment Research and Asset Allocation teams, contributing to the research that underpins our multi-asset portfolios and Preferred Investment List.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within investment management or investment research
- Strong understanding of financial markets, with multi-asset experience
- Experience of fund and manager selection, portfolio oversight, or asset allocation
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and synthesise complex data
- Confident communicator, able to present investment ideas clearly and professionally
- Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a solutions-focused mindset
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI, Python, or other programming languages is highly desirable
- Familiarity with industry-standard investment systems (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Morningstar, FE, etc.)
- Relevant professional qualification (or working towards one), such as CFA, is preferred
What you will do:
- Undertake qualitative and quantitative research across equities, fixed income, and alternative asset classes
- Contribute to asset allocation discussions and investment strategy development
- Perform fund and manager research, including full due diligence across asset classes
- Support the selection and ongoing oversight of investments and portfolio construction
- Prepare clear, concise research reports and present findings to investment teams and wider stakeholders
- Use and, in some cases, lead on investment research, portfolio management, and risk systems (e.g. Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Morningstar, FE)
- Support the enhancement of investment data, management information, and reporting across the investment function
- Engage with external fund managers, brokers, and system providers as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across research, systems, and processes
You will be expected to work collaboratively, challenge and debate investment ideas constructively, and communicate complex concepts clearly to a range of audiences.
