Mattioli Woods is one of the UK’s leading providers of wealth management and financial planning services. We support private clients, business owners, and families in managing and growing their wealth, always with a tailored, relationship-driven approach.
As part of our strategic growth, we’re now looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Wealth Management team in the Midlands. You’ll play a key role in building strong referral partnerships, sourcing new high-quality client opportunities, and supporting our financial planners in delivering an exceptional client experience.
This is a client-facing, results-driven role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a natural ability to build and convert relationships.
What you’ll be doing
- Generating new business opportunities through strategic networking, referrals, and targeted outreach campaigns
- Building long-term relationships with introducers such as accountants, solicitors, and professional networks
- Partnering closely with our financial planners to ensure seamless handover and onboarding of new clients
- Hosting and attending events and seminars to raise brand profile and build awareness of our services
- Using insight and feedback from the market to help shape our proposition and messaging
- Keeping accurate records and tracking performance metrics via our CRM system
What we’re looking for
- Proven success in a business development, client acquisition or sales role within financial services
- Strong understanding of investment, pensions, or wealth planning solutions
- A consultative sales style and the confidence to engage with HNW individuals and senior professionals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A collaborative, proactive and target-driven mindset
It’s a bonus if you have
- An established network of introducers or HNW contacts in the Midlands region
- Experience working in or alongside wealth management or IFA businesses
- Knowledge of financial planning, trust, tax, or estate planning services
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipeline tracking

- Pipeline development and conversion rates
