What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the Payroll team with processing monthly payroll across the group
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data is up to date
- Assisting with new starter and leaver administration
- Responding to payroll queries from employees and clients
- Supporting statutory reporting, including PAYE, National Insurance and pension contributions
- Keeping up to date with all relevant payroll changes and legislation
- Reconciling the relevant payroll bank accounts
- Sending payslips (either electronically or in the post)
What we're looking for:
- A keen interest in payroll and a desire to build a long-term career in this area
- Strong attention to detail with good numerical and IT skills, particularly Excel
- A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Previous payroll or finance experience is a bonus — but not essential, we're happy to develop the right person
