We are partnering with a highly respected civil and structural engineering consultancy known for delivering innovative and sustainable development infrastructure solutions across the UK.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a talented, experienced Senior Engineer to play a key role in the design and delivery of high-profile projects spanning education, residential, commercial, and leisure developments.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and design-led consultancy where engineers are encouraged to take ownership, contribute ideas, and help shape projects from concept through to delivery.

The Opportunity

You will work on a diverse portfolio of development and infrastructure schemes, leading the design and coordination of:

  • Drainage and SuDS strategies
  • Highways and road infrastructure
  • Flood risk and water management solutions
  • Utilities and external works infrastructure
  • Site development and feasibility studies

The role offers exposure to technically challenging projects and the chance to work closely with architects, planners, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver practical, sustainable, and creative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce infrastructure designs and technical reports for planning and detailed design stages
  • Assess site constraints including flood risk, environmental considerations, and ground conditions
  • Develop innovative engineering solutions using modern digital design and 3D modelling tools
  • Support client meetings, project coordination, and planning submissions
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of projects across multiple sectors
  • Mentor junior engineers and support technical development within the team

About You

  • Strong background in development infrastructure design
  • Experience in drainage, highways, utilities, and flood risk projects
  • Proficient with relevant design software and digital engineering tools
  • Commercially aware with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality and sustainable engineering solutions

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng/BSc or equivalent)
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership
  • Membership of ICE, CIWEM, or similar professional institution
