The waste & circular economy manager will be a key member of the Sustainability Team, reporting into the Head of Carbon, Energy & Sustainability. This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking an in house role in the public sector, with a clear pathway of career progression, generous salary and benefits. Responsibilities: As the lead circular economy consultant, you will work with the waste supply chain and internal waste producers to ensure all relevant waste management licenses and paperwork are in place and maintained. You will work with internal stakeholders to measure, monitor and report against a range of environmental objectives. This role requires someone to have a good knowledge of the waste and resource industry and wider sustainability issues. Profile: Ideally hold a degree in an environmental background Demonstrate experience in waste management / recycling with at least 3 years in the sector Excited to implement waste management best practices and recycling Able to engage with internal stakeholders to measure, monitor and report progress against a range of environmental objectives Develop objectives and targets for the sustainability strategy and sustainability management plan provide expertise to waste producers across the organisation including training materials as required. Identify opportunities to increase recycling levels and support the circular economy in line with GLA targets.
