An exciting opportunity has become available to join a growing multidisciplinary consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering sustainable solutions across the built environment. Based in Hampshire, you will join an expanding Sustainability team with a strong pipeline of projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, defence, industrial and mixed-use sectors, giving you the opportunity to work on a diverse range of developments while building your expertise within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Whether you are at the beginning of your sustainability career or already have experience delivering environmental assessments, this role offers excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression. You will work alongside experienced specialists, gain exposure to a broad range of sustainability disciplines and play an important role in helping clients achieve ambitious environmental targets.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver and support environmental assessments, including BREEAM, WELL, Fitwel and DREAM.
- Prepare technical reports, assessment documentation and supporting evidence to a consistently high standard of quality.
- Provide sustainability advice to clients, design teams and internal project stakeholders throughout the design process.
- Assist with the production of Energy Statements, Sustainability Statements and Whole Life Carbon reports.
- Support the development of project-specific sustainability strategies and environmental objectives.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure sustainability is embedded throughout project delivery.
- Contribute to the continuous development of the consultancy's sustainability services and technical knowledge.
Technical Experience
Experience in, or an interest in, several of the following areas would be advantageous:
- BREEAM assessment and certification.
- WELL, Fitwel or DREAM assessments.
- Dynamic thermal modelling using IES VE or similar software.
- Part L compliance, thermal comfort and operational energy modelling.
- Whole Life Carbon assessments and embodied carbon analysis.
- Net Zero Carbon strategies and Circular Economy principles.
- Wider sustainability, ESG and health and wellbeing initiatives.
About You
You will be passionate about sustainability and eager to develop your career within a collaborative consultancy environment. You will ideally have:
- Experience within the built environment, whether through consultancy, engineering, architecture, construction or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of BREEAM or other recognised sustainability assessment schemes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical reports.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A proactive attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine enthusiasm for sustainable building design.
