The role:

  • Lead the safe planning and execution of construction activities across multiple CapEx projects.
  • Manage contractors on site, ensuring compliance with JM policies, CDM regulations, and all statutory requirements.
  • Review and approve RAMS, permits to work, and construction readiness documentation.
  • Oversee construction progress, quality inspections, and completion sign‐off, including punch‐list control.
  • Coordinate daily and weekly site meetings, toolbox talks, and contractor performance reviews.
  • Support project delivery through construction planning, scheduling, risk management, and cost awareness.
  • Manage brownfield construction interfaces, shutdown activities, and tie‐ins in live operational environments.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, SHE teams, and operations to ensure smooth transition from construction to commissioning and handover.

Your Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience managing construction activities on engineering or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety, permit‐to‐work systems, and contractor supervision.
  • Experience in brownfield construction environments, including shutdowns and live‐plant work.
  • Ability to coordinate multi‐discipline teams and manage multiple contractors simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of construction QA/QC, installation standards, and documentation control.

Desirable

  • Experience in chemical, metals, or high‐hazard/COMAH environments.
  • Knowledge of CDM, DSEAR, ATEX, PUWER, and relevant British Standards.
  • Experience working within a structured stage‐gate project delivery framework.
