We are recruiting for a Proofreader/Quality Control Operator to join our team in Witham. Experience not necessary, just good computer skills! This role can be worked on a hybrid basis.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Checking digital files accurately in accordance with the material covered in the QA manual, including content, colour and printability.
- Proofreading data and correcting where relevant.
- Ensuring files conform to the client’s corporate guidelines (style).
- Checking images and graphics match the client's brief of colour.
- Checking that files meet the printer’s specification for technical set up (the example size of the copy, thickness of lines and barcode sizing).
- Proficient in all relevant software provided – Acrobat and Automation Engine.
- Utilising required systems correctly.
- Being fully up to date with all master guidelines relevant to the client assigned and having a working knowledge of other clients.
- Communicating effectively.
- Having good brand awareness and actively supporting the artwork department in achieving throughout the range and following the hero process.
- Meeting all required deadlines for the assigned client in conjunction with the Production Manager.
- Actively participating in the pod or team, improving communication and working towards ‘a right first time’ approach.
