We’re looking for a reliable HGV Class 2 (Cat C) driver for planned set runs with regular customers (organised routes – not random heavy multi-drop).
Pay: £136.50 per day guaranteed (paid in full even if you finish early).
Typical hours: 5 days/week, normally no more than 40 hours/week (route/traffic dependent).
Equivalent rate: at least £16/hour based on a 40-hour week (day-rate role, not hourly).
Hours:
- Start time: typically 09:00
- Finish time: normally around 16:00 (route/traffic dependent)
Work:
- Mostly local/regional Central Belt runs
- One longer same-day run per week (details at interview)
Working pattern:
- Alternating weeks: 5 days one week / 4 days the next (mid-week day off on the 4-day week)
Take-home vehicle:
- Truck can be taken home subject to approval and suitable secure parking (business use only)
