We are seeking a vibrant, enthusiastic property lawyer who is looking to progress their career at a specialist property law firm with an excellent local reputation for providing an efficient and quality service. The candidate will need to be able to work unsupervised and handle their own caseload; the candidate must be able to conduct matters from inception to conclusion (to include dealing with post-completion formalities such as Land Registry applications, requisitions and Stamp Duty Land Tax formalities).
The candidate will initially work independently (to include their own typing), however, depending on workload and performance, secretarial support can be considered.
Main/General responsibilities:- Undertake conveyancing work on behalf of clients in compliance with the firm’s Policies, Procedures and Controls.
- To achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording.
- In close liaison with the bookkeeper, to have overall responsibility for credit control on own matters.
- To comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors.
- To maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel of the firm.
- To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations.
- To take responsibility for and attend to self-development and training including, but not limited to, the relevant training requirements of the Law Society/SRA, and to assist with in-house training as may be required.
