We're recruiting on behalf of a growing and highly respected HR consultancy that supports a wide range of SMEs across the South West. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building trusted relationships, solving people challenges and providing commercially focused HR advice.
You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, working closely with business owners and managers to deliver practical HR solutions across the full employee lifecycle. No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and making a real difference to growing businesses. The role is offered on a part-time basis with flexibility and hybrid working. Would be fantastic for a working parent or someone with other commitments.
The Role
- As HR Manager, you'll become a trusted advisor to a portfolio of clients, providing expert guidance across all aspects of HR while ensuring businesses remain compliant and confident in managing their people.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a wide range of employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and performance issues
- Providing practical, commercially focused HR advice to SME clients across a variety of sectors
- Drafting and updating employment contracts, policies, procedures and employee handbooks
- Advising clients on employment legislation and HR best practice
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and general people management where required
- Building long-term relationships with clients and becoming their trusted HR partner
- Delivering a professional, responsive and high-quality HR service
About You
You'll be an experienced HR professional who enjoys working independently while building strong relationships with clients. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a HR Manager, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload
- A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach
