About this role

12.5 Hours per week / Term Time only / Permanent / 12.00pm - 2.30pm / Monday - Friday. Required September 2026.

Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and self‑motivated Kitchen Assistant at Matthew Moss High School, which is part of the Watergrove Trust.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a sound knowledge of Health and Safety and be committed to adhering to school policies and procedures.
  • Have excellent communication skills with an understanding of verbal and written instructions.
  • Have the ability to work as a member of a team and on their own initiative without supervision.
  • Have the ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English.

Duties to include:

  • Washing up and cleaning to a high standard.
  • Food preparation and service.

Ideally, the candidate will hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate; however, training will be provided for the successful candidate.
