We are recruiting for an experienced and fully qualified MOT Tester to join a professional and well-established automotive business. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing MOT tests accurately, efficiently and in accordance with current DVSA regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Class 4 MOT tests in line with current DVSA standards and regulations.
- Accurately identify and record vehicle defects, advisories and failures.
- Complete all required MOT documentation and update the relevant systems.
- Maintain consistently high standards of safety, quality and compliance.
- Clearly explain MOT results and any recommended work to customers and colleagues.
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs where required.
- Ensure all tools and testing equipment are used correctly and maintained appropriately.
- Keep the MOT testing bay and workshop clean, safe and organised.
- Work effectively with technicians, service advisors and other team members.
- Remain up to date with changes to MOT regulations and industry standards.
Essential Requirements
- A valid and current DVSA MOT Testing Licence.
- Qualified to test Class 4 vehicles.
- Relevant automotive qualification, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Previous experience working as an MOT Tester or Vehicle Technician.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, maintenance and repairs.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Excellent attention to detail.
