We are currently recruiting for a Stock Controller to join a fast-paced warehouse/logistics operation. This role is key to ensuring accurate stock management, inventory control, and smooth operational flow across the business.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience within a warehouse environment, and a proactive approach to maintaining stock accuracy. An MHE licence (e.g. PPT, Counterbalance, Reach Truck) is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate stock levels across the warehouse using internal systems
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts and audits
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and variances
- Ensure all stock movements are correctly recorded and tracked
- Liaise with warehouse, transport and procurement teams to ensure stock availability
- Monitor inbound and outbound stock to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Produce reports on stock levels, variances and performance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within stock control processes
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and company policies
- Previous experience within a stock control, inventory or warehouse role
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Good IT skills, including experience with WMS/ERP systems and Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Valid MHE licence (PPT, Counterbalance, Reach Truck etc.)
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Experience within a logistics or distribution environment
