We are working with a well-established facilities and engineering services provider who is looking to appoint an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to support service, maintenance and reactive works across a national commercial portfolio.
This is a mobile role covering warehouses, offices and retail premises throughout the UK, working on a wide range of commercial and some domestic gas systems.
The Role
- Service, maintain and fault-find on commercial heating systems including boilers, burners and warm air heaters
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns
- Complete Gas Safety Certificates and service documentation electronically
- Diagnose faults across various manufacturers’ equipment and rectify efficiently
- Install new heating and hot water systems when required
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for parts, warranties and technical support
- Provide high levels of customer service while representing the business professionally
- Participate in the on-call rota (nights and weekends – paid at premium rates)
- Work away from home when required (accommodation provided)
Essential Requirements
- Commercial Gas Safe Registered
- Valid UK driving licence
- Commercial gas qualifications (domestic desirable)
- Experience with air handling and ventilation systems
- IPAF and PASMA (essential due to high-level radiant heater work)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to travel and overnight stays
- High standards of workmanship and compliance

Package & Benefits
- £22.30 per hour
- Guaranteed 37.5 hours per week (£43,485 per annum)
- Overtime paid at time and a half (OTE £45k–£55k)
- Door-to-door paid travel
- On-call standby: £10 per day (1 week in 7)
