Driver Trainer in Hounslow

This role is essential in ensuring that new drivers are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate vehicles safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, delivery operations, and mechanical knowledge, along with excellent communication skills to effectively train and mentor new drivers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive training sessions for new drivers, focusing on safe driving practices and company policies.
• Evaluate the driving skills of trainees through practical assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop training materials and resources that align with industry standards and company requirements.
• Stay updated on regulations related to commercial driving and ensure compliance during training sessions.
• Assist in the onboarding process for new drivers, including orientation regarding warehouse operations and equipment handling.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages open communication and continuous improvement among trainees.
• Provide ongoing support to drivers post-training to enhance their performance and address any concerns.

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicles being operated- 10 years experience.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly advantageous (CLASS 2 license required)
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle operation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with flatbed operations is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with Roller Bed and Fridge Trailer experience is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to trainees.
