We are currently recruiting for a qualified MOT Tester to join a well-established and busy automotive business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to work within a professional workshop environment, carrying out MOT testing and supporting vehicle maintenance operations.
The ideal candidate will hold a valid MOT licence and demonstrate strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high standards of safety and service.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out MOT testing in line with Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) regulations
- Accurately assess vehicles and identify any defects or safety issues
- Complete all relevant documentation and ensure compliance with testing standards
- Liaise with workshop technicians regarding required repairs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Provide excellent customer service when required
- Valid MOT Tester Licence (Class 4 as a minimum – Class 7 desirable)
- Proven experience within a workshop or garage environment
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician alongside MOT testing
- Experience working in a fast-paced workshop
