The Opportunity
On behalf of our client, a well-established and reputable automotive service centre, we are currently recruiting for a qualified MOT Tester to join their growing workshop team. This is a stable, long-term opportunity offering consistent workload, modern facilities, and a supportive management structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations and standards
- Accurately record test results using approved MOT systems
- Identify faults, advisories, and safety issues clearly and professionally
- Ensure all testing equipment is maintained and calibrated correctly
- Maintain high standards of health & safety within the workshop
- Provide clear communication to service advisors / management
- Deliver a professional and customer-focused service at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Valid MOT Tester Licence (Class 4) – essential
- Previous experience in a similar MOT Tester role
- Strong knowledge of DVSA testing standards and procedures
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Experience with minor mechanical repairs / servicing
- Familiarity with digital workshop systems
