An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Technician to join a busy engineering environment on a 2-year fixed-term contract. This hands-on role will involve supporting the installation, assembly, maintenance, and operation of a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment. Working as part of a skilled team, you will contribute to the maintenance and development of essential infrastructure while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and reliability.
Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Technician:
- Carry out mechanical assembly, installation, and maintenance activities.
- Support the operation and upkeep of plant and engineering equipment.
- Assist with equipment inspections, fault finding, and preventative maintenance.
- Work alongside engineers and technicians to support ongoing projects and equipment upgrades.
- Help prepare maintenance documentation, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Maintain stock levels of spare parts and identify replacement components when required.
- Support health, safety, and quality procedures across all activities.
- Contribute to a variety of engineering projects as required.
