An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Controls Engineer to join a leading specialist equipment manufacturer based in Essex. This permanent position offers a rewarding career for someone with a strong background in automation and PLC programming. As a Controls Engineer, you will take full ownership of electrical and control projects, from initial development and design to programming and support. The role requires experience in PLC programming, electrical design, and commissioning, with a focus on delivering automation solutions across various industries. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and deliver PLC-based automation solutions, including electrical and SCADA. * Program PLC software using Allen Bradley / Rockwell to meet project requirements. * Create electrical wiring diagrams using AutoCAD software. * Ensure successful commissioning of all electrical and control systems. Ideal Controls Engineer: * Proven experience as a Controls Engineer, particularly in the automation and controls field. * Extensive experience with PLC programming (Allen Bradley / Rockwell). * Proficiency in using electrical CAD software (AutoCAD) * A background in a variety of different industries would be beneficial.
