About the role

This position is vital in managing the day-to-day operations of our transport team and fleet. As Transport Team Manager, you’ll focus on cost management, service quality, and strict compliance with Health and Safety, regulatory, and company policies, ensuring that all activities align with legal standards. You’ll drive people-related KPIs and provide essential support to the management team to keep everything running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the transport operation, ensuring cost-effectiveness, service excellence, and policy compliance within your team.
  • Support the transport team including Transport Manager with daily meetings, debrief of crews (Driver Mate & Class 2 Driver), ensure company standards are met and delivering operational efficiency through route planning.
  • Drive key people KPIs, fostering a positive culture and productive work environment.
  • Dealing with investigations including vehicle accident, stock issues, personal injuries and more.

  • You bring substantial experience from fast-paced settings like FMCG and logistics. Your strengths include:
