About the Role

To manage the depot operations on a shift basis, including outbased personnel, within agreed customer service and key performance indicator targets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensuring all customer service and KPI targets are met
  • Monitoring efficiency within the depot, proactively identifying areas for improvement
  • Managing the shift resource plan on a daily basis to ensure all operational requirements are met
  • Ensuring best practice within the depot to comply with Standard Operating Procedures and Health and Safety legislation
  • Working with the Depot Manager to produce and deliver the annual budget
  • Taking responsibility for recruiting and inducting new team members
  • Managing the team on a day to day basis including 1 to 1’s and performance reviews

About you

It will be a given that you’re an experienced people manager and it’s also important to us that you have an excellent knowledge of warehouse management systems and Health and Safety legislation. With responsibility for budget setting and management, you’ll need good numeracy skills and have the ability to draw conclusions from data. Being a business that strives to deliver an excellent customer experience, you need excellent communication and customer service skills.
