About the role
The job holder will ensure smooth management of the warehouse operation, with responsibility for the delivery of cost, service, compliance, and people KPIs – in line with company and legal standards and requirements. Responsibility for the warehouse day shift with a support and deputy role for Warehouse Logistics Manager as required.
- Optimise labour and resources to deliver productivity and cost targets
- Ensure accurate, high-quality inbound goods and investigate stock variances
- Deliver operational plans (daily/weekly/monthly) to meet customer and business needs
- Maintain strong communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Drive operational improvements, including layout changes and performance optimisation
- Ensure full compliance with quality, legal, and Health & Safety standards, including audits
- Manage, develop, and train team members while addressing performance and people issues
- Lead by example—creating a safe, positive environment and continuously improving operations
About you
- Experience in a management role within a fast moving and changing work environment such as FMCG or logistics
- Experienced in managing, developing, and inspiring teams
- Management Qualification – desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely – desirable
- Proficient in MS Office Suite – essential
- TM CPC – desirable
