Responsibilities

  • Ensure the smooth management of the warehouse operation, with responsibility for delivery of cost, service, compliance, and people KPIs - in line with company and legal standards and requirements.
  • Responsibility for the warehouse day shift with a support and deputy role for Warehouse Logistics Manager as required.
  • Optimise labour and resources to deliver productivity and cost targets.
  • Ensure accurate, high-quality inbound goods and investigate stock variances.
  • Deliver operational plans (daily/weekly/monthly) to meet customer and business needs.
  • Maintain strong communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Drive operational improvements, including layout changes and performance optimisation.
  • Ensure full compliance with quality, legal, and Health & Safety standards, including audits.
  • Manage, develop, and train team members while addressing performance and people issues.
  • Lead by example - creating a safe, positive environment and continuously improving operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a management role within a fast moving and changing work environment such as FMCG or logistics.
  • Experienced in managing, developing, and inspiring teams.
  • Management qualification – desirable.
  • IOSH Managing Safely – desirable.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite – essential.
  • TM CPC – desirable.
