Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth management of the warehouse operation, with responsibility for delivery of cost, service, compliance, and people KPIs - in line with company and legal standards and requirements.
- Responsibility for the warehouse day shift with a support and deputy role for Warehouse Logistics Manager as required.
- Optimise labour and resources to deliver productivity and cost targets.
- Ensure accurate, high-quality inbound goods and investigate stock variances.
- Deliver operational plans (daily/weekly/monthly) to meet customer and business needs.
- Maintain strong communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Drive operational improvements, including layout changes and performance optimisation.
- Ensure full compliance with quality, legal, and Health & Safety standards, including audits.
- Manage, develop, and train team members while addressing performance and people issues.
- Lead by example - creating a safe, positive environment and continuously improving operations.
Qualifications
- Experience in a management role within a fast moving and changing work environment such as FMCG or logistics.
- Experienced in managing, developing, and inspiring teams.
- Management qualification – desirable.
- IOSH Managing Safely – desirable.
