Role
You will teach Science across Key Stages 3 to 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that enable all students to achieve their full potential. You will also take responsibility for a tutor group and contribute to the wider life of the school.
Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching Science across a range of ages and abilities, including GCSE and A Level.
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Monitoring, assessing and supporting student progress.
- Contributing to the development of departmental schemes of work and teaching resources.
- Supporting enrichment activities and initiatives that promote Science within and beyond the classroom.
- Promoting high standards of behaviour, achievement and student welfare.
Requirements
- Degree in a Science with Qualified Teacher Status.
- Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting, including teaching placements.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Science curriculum.
- Ability to inspire, engage and effectively support students of all abilities while delivering excellent outcomes.
- A collaborative approach, commitment to professional development, and genuine enthusiasm for Science education.
