Position: Senior Finance Assistant
Location: Glasgow, Head Office
Job Type: Full time, Permanent (39.5 hours per week)
Salary: £35,000.00 per annum + Benefits

Purpose Of Role
As the Senior Finance Assistant, your main role is to assist the Finance Team with a wide variety of accountancy tasks including balance sheet reconciliations, processing staff expenses, month end close support, and profit and loss account analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly reports
- Ensure correct reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Process staff expenses, including taking administrator responsibility over the Company expenses application
- Business partner with other departments to support in all financial matters
- Support in the management of the AP and AR teams
- Support with and respond to finance queries from the UK business and the parent group
- Assist with the annual external audit process
- Assist with internal audit procedures
- Deputise for the AP and AR Manager as and when required
Person Specification
Education / Qualifications / Training:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA Part Qualified (or equivalent experience)
Experience:
- Essential: Experience gained in an FMCG or similar B2B company; Supervisory experience with strong people management skills
- Desirable: Previous position in a subsidiary of an international corporate organisation; Experience in a Senior Finance role
Skills / Knowledge:
- Essential: Competent in all Microsoft Office packages, specifically Excel to a highly advanced level; Knowledge and experience of using an ERP system; Excellent communication skills for presentation of information both verbally and in written format; Attention to detail to evidence accuracy in all work produced and complete/follow through on all tasks; Excellent interpersonal ability to forge productive working relationships which advance the work of the team
- Desirable: Knowledge and experience of using Dynamics 365
