Position: Repair Centre Technician Grade 1
Location: Glasgow, Head Office
Job Type: Full time, Permanent - Monday to Friday, 39.5 hours per week, 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 4:30pm on Friday
Salary: £27,626.30 per annum

Purpose of Role: As the Repair Centre Parts Technician, you will ensure the efficient refurbishment of Matthew Algie Equipment. You'll make sure the quality of all aspects of work carried out is to the highest standard possible, whilst constantly striving towards departmental aims, paying particular attention to:
- Quality, performance and reducing sub component usage where possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Refurbishment & Quality
- Refurbish machine sub-components to the highest standards for use in repair centre operations
- Ensure all work meets quality requirements and passes supervisor checks
- Work towards agreed performance targets and continuous improvement
- Process Improvement & Efficiency
- Monitor and improve processes to maximise efficiency and minimise waste
- Identify and suggest areas for ongoing improvement
- Documentation & Administration
- Accurately record all work carried out
- Complete all paperwork correctly, noting any shortages
- Maintain professional administrative standards to support audit and compliance requirements
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all Health & Safety, legal, quality, and environmental regulations
- Report all accidents, hazards, and risks promptly
- Hygiene & Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean, organised work environment in line with company hygiene standards
- Ensure all areas are audit-ready at all times
- Teamwork & Communication
- Contribute positively to team performance and departmental objectives
- Participate in team meetings, briefings, and appraisals
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management
- Support wider departmental activities when required
Experience
- Essential
- Previous experience in a similar environment
- Experienced in use of hand tools
- Desirable:
- Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or repair centre environment
- Knowledge of refurbishing or repairing electrical or mechanical components

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
