Position: Finance Assistant

Location: Lisburn, Head Office

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Salary: £28-£33,000.00 per annum + Benefits

Purpose of Role: In this role, you will be responsible to support various finance functions with a wide variety of accounting tasks for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and providing administrative support to the finance team. The overall purpose will be to contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and organisation of the finance and credit control inbox and filing of all communication in an organised and structured way.
  • Posting all receivables transactions from the bank statement to the customer account and reconciliations.
  • Resolve queries and investigate unallocated cash queries or payment discrepancies.
  • Preparing and processing the direct debit run every month alongside credit control.
  • Work closely with the Credit Control in order to maintain up to date customer accounts and monitor customer accounts and chasing overdue payments.
  • Processing supplier invoices and reconciling supplier statements.
  • Assisting with payment runs and general purchase ledger duties.
  • Raising sales invoices and credit notes.
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month end processes.
  • Perform other monthly ad-hoc tasks, assist with annual external audit and general finance administration.
  • Work collaboratively across finance and operational teams.

Experience: To be considered for this opportunity it is essential that you have previous experience in a finance position, ideally in FMCG or a B2B company. You’ll be a competent user of all Microsoft Office packages. You’ll be an excellent team player who can also take responsibility for your own workload.

Skills / Knowledge:

  • Competent in all Microsoft Office packages specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word to a high level.
  • Competent in finance software/ERP System.
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate with other teams in a positive manner.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills; methodical and precise in producing accurate work, with a proactive approach to follow-up.

Desirable:

  • Previous use of Dynamics D365 or relevant ERP System.
