Position: Credit Control Team Leader
Location: Glasgow Headquarters
Job Type: Full time (39.5 hours, Monday to Friday)
Salary: £32,700.00 per annum, DOE

Purpose of Role:
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to apply for the role of Credit Control Team Leader, based in Glasgow. In your new role, you will ensure the Credit Control Team are effectively dealing with customer account queries, complaints, including liaising with other departments, to ensure that they are brought to a satisfactory conclusion. You will alsoMonitor agreed credit limits and ensure the Credit Control team are chasing overdue debt by telephone, letter & email within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managerial responsibility including assisting with setting team targets and authorising set credit limits in line with company polices
• Lead a team of four- keep them motivated and build strong relationships both within the team and with internal and external key accounts
•Assess risks and make decisions on granting credit and liaise with Credit Manager to agree payment plans for customers with cash flow problems
• Direct and support the Credit Control Team in delivering company targets
• Credit check and monitor new and existing customers to ascertain correct credit limit, ensuring correct forms are completed for each
• Ensure monthly statements, first letters and final demands are printed, checked and sent out within the agreed timescale
• Ensure month end procedures are completed on time – oversee Direct Debits / manual statements with all returned Direct Debit accounts are administered and called at month end.
• Complete a 6-monthly Credit review of entire database to ensure company guidelines are being followed
• Ensure all identified accounts are passed to Legal for action
• Ensure external portals are maintained up to date and any issues are resolved to ensure swift payment
• Ensure the ‘Stop List’ is run hourly and resolve any issues to be ensure orders are released.
• Ensure the review of orders on hold, customer a/c queries and complaints are dealt with in a timely, courteous and consistent manner
Experience:
To be considered for this position, it is essential that you have demonstrable experience in a similar Credit Control role in a fast-paced office environment, supporting high-volume collections and monitoring bad debt. You will ideally have experience in a team leader role, and will be skilled at finding solutions that are acceptable to both the Company and the customer, where possible.
CICM qualification is also desirable.
