We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Drone Test Flight Engineer to join our team in London, United Kingdom. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive flight tests on unmanned aerial systems, analyzing performance data, and ensuring all operations meet rigorous safety and regulatory standards. You will work with cutting-edge drone technology while maintaining the highest levels of precision and organization throughout the testing process.
- Conduct planned and ad-hoc test flights on unmanned aerial systems, documenting all procedures and observations with meticulous attention to detail.
- Analyze flight test data, telemetry information, and system performance metrics to identify anomalies and areas for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and documentation detailing test results, findings, and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations and internal safety protocols throughout all flight operations.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with drone systems, flight control software, and avionics equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and refine test plans and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all test flights, equipment maintenance, and system modifications.
- Operate and manage flight test instrumentation and data logging equipment.
- Communicate test findings and technical recommendations to cross-functional teams in a clear and organized manner.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate emerging aviation regulations and industry best practices.
