We’re looking for a digitally-focused Mid-Weight Designer to join our creative team, working across both Matter and our sister studio Bread & Butter. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the executional phase of design - translating brand strategy and creative direction into polished digital outputs. You’ll be working across websites, wireframes, emails, social content, and motion graphics, helping bring ideas to life across a variety of sectors, including education, energy, healthcare, and charities. You’ll be supported by a Creative Director and senior team who provide the brand thinking and art direction - your job is to take that and run with it, crafting high-quality digital deliverables with precision and flair.

What You’ll Do

  • Translate brand concepts and creative direction into digital design assets
  • Design wireframes, websites, landing pages, and email templates
  • Create digital content for social media, campaigns, and motion graphics
  • Apply brand guidelines across digital platforms with consistency and creativity
  • Collaborate with strategists, writers, and other designers to deliver cohesive solutions
  • Present work confidently to internal teams and clients
  • Balance creativity with usability, accessibility, and performance across platforms
  • Work across multiple clients and industries in a fast-paced studio environment

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years’ experience in a studio or agency setting, with a strong digital portfolio
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and After Effects
  • Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design
  • Experience designing for web, email, and social platforms
  • Ability to work from provided brand direction and build out full digital executions
  • A keen eye for layout, typography, and composition
  • Motion design experience is a strong plus
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working independently or collaboratively
