We’re looking for a digitally-focused Mid-Weight Designer to join our creative team, working across both Matter and our sister studio Bread & Butter. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the executional phase of design – translating brand strategy and creative direction into polished digital outputs. You’ll be working across websites, wireframes, emails, social content, and motion graphics, helping bring ideas to life across a variety of sectors, including education, energy, healthcare, and charities.
You’ll be supported by a Creative Director and senior team who provide the brand thinking and art direction – your job is to take that and run with it, crafting high-quality digital deliverables with precision and flair.
What You’ll Do
- Translate brand concepts and creative direction into digital design assets
- Design wireframes, websites, landing pages, and email templates
- Create digital content for social media, campaigns, and motion graphics
- Apply brand guidelines across digital platforms with consistency and creativity
- Collaborate with strategists, writers, and other designers to deliver cohesive solutions
- Present work confidently to internal teams and clients
- Balance creativity with usability, accessibility, and performance across platforms
- Work across multiple clients and industries in a fast-paced studio environment
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years’ experience in a studio or agency setting, with a strong digital portfolio
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and After Effects
- Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design
- Experience designing for web, email, and social platforms
- Ability to work from provided brand direction and build out full digital executions
- A keen eye for layout, typography, and composition
- Motion design experience is a strong plus
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working independently or collaboratively
