Matter of Health is seeking a thoughtful, experienced Contractor Adult Psychiatrist to join our growing, clinically led service. This role is well suited to psychiatrists looking for contained, values-aligned private work within a clear governance framework, without commercial pressure or volume-driven practice.
About Matter of Health: Matter of Health is a CQC-registered, multidisciplinary mental health clinic providing psychiatry, psychology, nutritional therapy, dietetics, and fitness support. We work from a whole-health model, recognising that mental health outcomes are shaped by biological, psychological, and lifestyle factors. Clinical judgement sits at the centre of everything we do. Our service is designed to support safe, ethical, evidence-based practice, with appropriate time, clinical containment, and multidisciplinary input where helpful. We support adults presenting with ADHD, autism, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related difficulties, and more complex diagnostic questions.
The Role: As a Contractor Adult Psychiatrist, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments with adults
- Diagnose and manage neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions, including ADHD and autism
- Develop collaborative, person-centred treatment plans
- Prescribe and review medication where clinically indicated
- Work alongside psychologists, therapists, nutritionists, and fitness professionals as part of an MDT
- Contribute to clinical governance, outcomes monitoring, and service development as appropriate
This is remote, flexible work, structured to fit alongside other NHS, private, or portfolio roles.
