About the Role

We’re looking for a talented Mid-Weight Graphic Designer to join our creative team, working across both Matter and our sister studio Bread & Butter. This role is ideal for someone with strong conceptual thinking, a passion for craft, and the ability to bring their own ideas to the table. You’ll work across a wide range of projects, from brand identity and campaign rollouts to digital content and motion design for clients spanning B2C and B2B sectors including education, energy, healthcare, and charities.

You’ll be closely supported by a Creative Director but also trusted to take ownership of projects, bringing a clean, strategic, and thoughtful approach to design.

What You’ll Do

  • Think conceptually and contribute original ideas that shape creative solutions.
  • Deliver design work across print, digital, social, and campaign rollouts.
  • Develop digital assets including web banners, social templates, and motion graphics.
  • Translate brand guidelines into engaging digital executions.
  • Support and lead on projects, from smaller briefs to larger-scale campaigns.
  • Present work confidently to internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with strategists, writers, and other designers to deliver cohesive solutions.
  • Work across multiple clients and industries, balancing creativity with commercial understanding.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years’ experience in an agency or studio environment, across both print and digital.
  • A portfolio that shows your own ideas and thinking, not just execution demonstrating brand identity, campaign work, and digital design.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and After Effects (motion design is a big plus).
  • An excellent eye for typography, layout, colour, and composition.
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles and how to design effectively for digital platforms.
  • Ability to follow process and strategy, while adding your own creative thinking.
  • A proactive, positive mindset and confidence in contributing ideas.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced studio.
