HEAD WAITER/WAITRESS - new opening, premium Italian restaurant, Hampton Court We're opening a brand new premium Italian restaurant near Hampton Court at the end of October, and we're looking for a Head Waiter/Waitress to build the floor team with us from day one. THE ROLE You'll be on the floor doing the job like everyone else, and you'll also be the one running the shift. Sections, table allocation, pace of service, that's your call once the doors open. You'll work alongside the Assistant General Manager, leading the waiters and runners day to day: the pre-service briefing is yours, so is training the new starters, and so is opening and closing the restaurant on the shifts when the AGM isn't in. When a guest isn't happy, you're the first person who deals with it, before it goes any further. At the end of the night you cash up and check the bills.
