Join MATTA as our newest Mid-Weight Designer, where you’ll lead end-to-end creative for iconic sports brands. We are an independent creative agency built specifically for sports and lifestyle brands.

We are looking for a talented, highly motivated Designer to join our Creative Team, to work across both our brand identity and campaign projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • End-to-End Creative Execution: Taking briefs from the Creative and Brand teams working across brand, digital, print, and campaign projects.
  • Project Planning & Delivery: Working to refine and utilise the creative and taking the creative through to delivery.
  • Innovation & Process: Helping the Design team build and implement process.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Presenting work and ideas both internally and at times directly to clients.
  • Team Mentorship: Mentoring and helping guide junior members of the Design team.
  • External Coordinator & Liaison: Liaising and directing freelancers, illustrators and printers.

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Design Experience: Minimum 2 years experience working in a design role at a design studio, creative agency or similar environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Substantial experience using Adobe Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) to create and apply brand guidelines and retouch assets.
  • Design Excellence: A solid portfolio of work showcasing variety (e.g. social, web and print projects) and demonstrating a strong understanding of design principles and meticulous eye for typography, composition, and layout.
  • Creative Collaborator: Experience working alongside Creative teams and Art Directors to translate high-level visions into polished design outputs.
  • Communication Skills: Able to confidently pitch, present, and sell design concepts to both internal peers and external clients.
  • Proactive: Can maintain strong initiative to manage varying deadlines and budgets while staying organised and proactive.
  • Team Leadership & Growth: Natural relationship builder, committed to sharing knowledge and fostering the development of those around you.
  • Sports Industry Passion: Eagerness to work within the world of sports marketing.
