About the Role
We are seeking an Interim HSEQ Manager for an oil and gas company. Reporting to a member of the executive team, you will lead the central Health & Safety, Environment, Quality, Technical Safety and Process Safety functions. You will set clear priorities for the team while leading the next phase of the company’s safety culture journey.
Location : Aberdeen; Start Date : ASAP; Contract position ; Duration : To be agreed
Key Priorities
- Develop and deliver an improvement roadmap covering organisational learning, leadership visibility, workforce engagement and collaboration across teams
- Lead, coach and align the HSEQ team, strengthen capability and maintain effective support and challenge to functional and asset leaders
- Provide oversight of major accident hazard management, safety cases, safety critical barriers, operational risk and the effectiveness of assurance and improvement actions
- Strengthen emergency response capability, incident investigation and learning, ensuring insights are shared and agreed actions are followed through
- Oversee HSEQ governance, environmental and quality requirements, and preparation for regulatory engagement and inspections
- Give executive leaders clear insight into HSEQ performance, emerging risks, priorities and decisions requiring attention

Essential Experience
- Senior HSEQ leadership experience within oil and gas operations, including leading multidisciplinary teams
- Evidence of leading practical safety culture improvements through visible leadership, workforce listening and constructive challenge
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and influence personnel
- Strong working knowledge of UK and overseas regulatory requirements
- Sound understanding of process safety, major accident hazards, technical assurance and operational risk; able to draw effectively on specialist expertise
- Ability to work across multiple disciplines and organisational levels
