The Role: As maternity cover for 12 months, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering the product vision for the relaunch of a heritage beauty brand – from strategy development and innovation through to execution at a transformative time for the business. This is a unique opportunity to blend legacy with innovation, leading the strategy, development, and execution of new product development that reflects our brand ethos and drives commercial success. You’ll manage the end-to-end product lifecycle , working cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Operations and senior leadership. We’re looking for someone commercially sharp, creatively curious, and highly collaborative – a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead strategic product development projects aligned with brand and commercial goals. Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: ideation, formulation, packaging, testing and launch. Translate consumer, market and trend insights into actionable product strategies and pipeline recommendations. Build and deliver the NPD roadmap, including seasonal launches, core range refreshes, and innovation extensions. Partner closely with Marketing, Creative, and Operations to ensure timely, compliant and compelling launches. Manage and strengthen supplier/manufacturer relationships for quality, cost efficiency and delivery. Oversee product margins, pricing architecture, and COGs optimisation. Ensure packaging development, artwork approvals, and testing meet brand and regulatory standards. Identify and resolve challenges across timelines, formulations, and compliance processes. Provide clear reporting and updates to stakeholders, including senior leadership. About You: Proven Product Development or Product Management experience within beauty, skincare or personal care. Experience in brand/category development, ideally with heritage or luxury brands. Strong commercial mindset with analytical skills; confident in owning margins and pricing strategy. Excellent project leadership with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution. Demonstrated success in supplier/manufacturer management and negotiations. Strong communicator and influencer, able to work across teams and with senior stakeholders. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, testing, packaging development and sustainability standards.
