Private Brands is one of the most exciting growth engines within Matrix, and a key part of how we deliver on our mission to create standout, consumer-loved products across beauty, wellness, and lifestyle. We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our growing team. This is a client-facing role that blends trend insights, product development, innovation, and project management. You’ll play a key part in shaping product strategies, building compelling ranges, and ensuring every concept is both commercially strong and technically feasible. You’ll work closely with Sales, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Technical and Design teams, leading the development and delivery of NPD across key accounts, including managing non-China sourced production.
What You’ll Do
- Research and share consumer, category and market trends to guide product direction.
- Create trend and concept decks for client presentations.
- Contribute to ideation sessions and innovation workshops.
- Manage the development of product ranges aligned with client strategies.
- Create and manage product briefs, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver on creative, technical and commercial requirements.
- Partner with the Senior Product Manager and Sales to shape compelling, viable product proposals.
- Work closely with Sourcing and Technical teams to ensure concepts are feasible, compliant and cost-effective.
- Evaluate raw materials, packaging, formulations and production partners, particularly across non-China sourced products.
- Oversee timelines for all assigned projects.
- Manage day-to-day production tracking and supplier communication for non-China sourced products.
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to internal processes.
What You’ll Bring
- 2-4 years’ experience in product development, ideally within beauty, personal care, FMCG or private label.
- A strong interest in consumer trends, brand strategy and innovation.
- Confident communication skills, with experience presenting to clients and/or stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of beauty product development and technical considerations.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects at once.
