As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely monthly management accounts, meeting all deadlines without compromising quality. Working closely with the Financial Controller, fellow Management Accountant, and the Transactional Finance Team, you will enhance reporting processes, share expertise, and provide mutual support - particularly during critical periods such as the annual financial audit.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ownership of Revenue process for all divisions within Matrix workforce, milestone and payroll, including all P&L postings, ensuring it reconciles into our own proprietary systems.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations for all revenue related codes, ensuring all relevant documentation/backup are saved monthly for review.
  • Understand client rebate agreements by client and ensure the monthly accruals reflect this and ensure invoices received are in line with accruals made and company policy.
  • Ensure Umbrella postings are made on a timely basis with support.
  • Ownership of Group VAT process, including monthly account payments, submission of Quarterly returns, ensuring all reconciled back to HMRC VAT portal.
  • Protect Group Companies by making sure we are treating postings correctly with current VAT regulations, and implement a robust internal VAT audit process, to ensure all group companies are managing VAT postings correctly.
  • Support the Financial Controller in partnership with current Management Account, to maintain and continue to develop high quality and optimal financial control environment across the Matrix divisions.
  • Forward thinking, support Financial Controller with looking forwards as divisions investigate new revenue channels and how they can be set up correctly including VAT treatments and how to manage potential FX exposure.
  • Super User for our finance system, Microsoft Dynamics, covering 1st line support to MK Finance Team.
  • Provide support to annual audit processes – concentrated area on Revenue.
  • Administration of National Statistics submissions for all Matrix divisions.
  • Support other members of the finance team with queries which arise on an ad-hoc basis.
