This role can be based in either the Dublin site OR Sligo site. My client, a proven evolving industry leader, supplier and distributor of construction products, is looking to hire a Key Account Executive to join their team. I am looking for a commercially driven individual to work alongside the existing team and help drive the business development. The company wants to strengthen and develop its market position and further develop relationships with their key long-term customers. This is a permanent job with travel required to meet key account clients.

Key duties & responsibilities

  • Working within an existing and dynamic key account and sales team.
  • B2B sales role focused on account management & inbound enquiries.
  • Receive and process orders from key account customers.
  • Ensure orders are processed in line with specification and in the agreed format and timescales.
  • Process orders and check with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Ensuring that all customer quotations are followed up efficiently to convert into future orders.
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Helping to maintain and grow business through identifying customer experience improvement and target areas.
  • Deal with after sales opportunities and customer queries.
  • Occasional travel to meet key accounts clients (2-3 clients).

What are we looking for?

  • 2-5 years experience working as a Key Account/Client Relationship role.
  • Experience managing high value client accounts.
  • Excellent communication & relationship management.
  • Ability to work independently & willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Proficient computer/IT skills.
  • Full Irish Driving License.
