About MatraVolt
MatraVolt is a deep-tech company building next-generation, prefabricated infrastructure for the AI era. Our multi-module architecture enables high-density, liquid-cooled deployments with materially faster delivery, reduced on-site execution risk, and compelling total-cost economics. Our solution has been adopted by one of the world’s largest AI data center programs in the US, and we are now scaling across Europe with colocation providers, hyperscale developers, EPCs, and energy-conscious AI platforms.
Role Overview
We are hiring a Country Head to own country-level commercial strategy and outcomes. This is a senior, externally facing leadership role with end-to-end accountability for building pipeline, converting strategic opportunities, and establishing MatraVolt as the default platform for next-gen AI/HPC infrastructure in your market. You will operate as MatraVolt’s senior representative in-country—leading executive engagement, shaping complex technical deals, orchestrating partner ecosystems, and aligning internal engineering/operations to deliver flagship wins.
What Success Looks Like
- A qualified, multi-threaded pipeline across the country’s priority accounts and influencers
- Converted anchor customers and repeatable routes-to-market (EPC/SI/channel/consortium)
- Clear deal governance: disciplined qualification, win plans, pricing logic, and risk control
- Strong market intelligence loop that sharpens product, delivery, and commercial playbooks
Key Responsibilities
- Country GTM Strategy & Executive Coverage
- Define and execute the country commercial plan: target segments, priority accounts, partner strategy, and near-/mid-term win themes.
- Establish C-level relationships across colocation, hyperscale development, AI platforms, utilities/energy partners, and public/private stakeholders where relevant.
- Represent MatraVolt at industry forums and critical customer/partner meetings.
- Strategic Sales Leadership (Complex, Technical Deals)
- Lead end-to-end deal cycles: qualification, requirement shaping, solution definition, commercial structuring, negotiation, and close.
- Drive technical value articulation in high-density GPU environments: liquid cooling, modular power/cooling blocks, prefabrication/off-site integration, and time-to-live economics.
- Coordinate multi-stakeholder buying centers (C-suite, engineering, procurement, legal, site teams) to maintain momentum and control scope.
- Partnerships, Channels & Ecosystem Orchestration
- Build and manage high-leverage alliances with EPCs, SIs, developers, integrators, and project consortiums to accelerate access and delivery capacity.
- Establish partner enablement: account mapping, co-selling motion, bid governance, and joint execution model.
- Bid / Program Leadership (Commercial-to-Delivery Alignment)
- Own country bids/RFPs from strategy through submission, including solution positioning, pricing inputs, risk posture, and stakeholder alignment.
- Align internal teams (Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain) on delivery assumptions, site readiness, schedule realism, and dependency management.
- Market Intelligence, Governance & Risk
- Provide structured market signals: customer pain points, grid/power constraints, permitting/regulatory themes, competitive moves, and pricing benchmarks.
- Ensure adherence to customer policies and MatraVolt standards across HSE, site protocols, and commercial risk controls.
Ideal Profile
- 10+ years in data center / critical infrastructure commercial leadership (enterprise sales, BD, strategic partnerships, or country leadership), with a track record in complex, high-value deals.
- Established relationships across European data center decision-makers (colo, hyperscale developers, EPC/SI ecosystem, and adjacent energy stakeholders).
- Executive presence with credibility across technical and commercial audiences; able to translate engineering detail into board-level outcomes.
- Strong command of AI/HPC infrastructure drivers: rack density, liquid cooling architectures, modular power/cooling, off-site manufacturing, and schedule-to-revenue economics.
- Builder mentality: thrives in high-autonomy environments, creates structure, and drives outcomes at startup pace.
- Languages: Fluent English required; additional European languages strongly preferred.
Contract Details
- Engagement: Contractor / Independent Consultant
- Compensation: Monthly travel allowance + uncapped, highly competitive success-based commission
- Start: Immediate
