Location: Neenah Red Bridge, Bolton
Hours: 48 hours per week, 12-hour days and nights on a two-week rotation. Monday to Thursday – 6am to 6pm/Monday to Friday – 6pm to 6am
We are recruiting an experienced Production Operative for our site in Bolton, Manchester.
Role Responsibilities:- This role is subject to colour vision testing; you must have superior discrimination of colour vision – we will conduct the colour vision test on the interview day.
- Previous experience an advantage but full training can be given.
- Ensure the continuous running of the machines in the manufacturing unit so that targets are achieved.
- Conduct first line fault finding when there are operational issues and resolve faults efficiently.
- Report any unplanned down time to the Supervisor.
- Report any planning/material issues to the Supervisor.
- Be thorough and check work to minimise any rework.
- Complete routine maintenance of equipment.
- Complete quality testing of products.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and timely.
- Assist in training team members.
- Participate positively and fully in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure effective communication with your team, Supervisor and the wider manufacturing team.
- Keep a clean and safe work area and work safely.
- Report any safety opportunities to Supervisor.
- Follow all Company procedures.
- Work in any area of the manufacturing unit.
- NVQ Level 2 – Performing Manufacturing Operations/Continuous Improvement
- 5S
- Six Sigma (desirable)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience working rotational shifts
- Basic mechanical understanding
- Works well in a team but is able to work on own initiative.
