We are seeking a high-energy, ambitious, multi-disciplinary marketing leader to support our go-to-market strategy for Matillion’s new AI product. This role involves building demand-generation campaigns, creating compelling brand content, elevating our customers and executives in thought leadership, and refining our positioning to secure a strong market presence.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in early-stage start-ups and a passion for creating categories or disrupting markets through innovative, technical marketing. Comfort with technical complexity, enterprise sales motions, and cross-functional collaboration with teams like DG, Creative, and Field is essential. As a front-runner in AI disruption for data engineering, candidates should possess knowledge of AI markets, strong product marketing skills, and the ability to clarify positioning, understand customer profiles, develop market insights, and align Product, Marketing, and Sales teams.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing program across positioning, demand generation, content marketing, customer marketing, and field marketing to meet pipeline and brand awareness goals.
  • Create clear, compelling, and differentiated messaging that resonates with target audiences, emphasizing the product’s unique value in AI and data transformation.
  • Elevate customers, employees, and executives with thought leadership content that differentiates Matillion’s AI product and educates the market on its disruptive potential.
  • Ghostwrite and support executive content creation to establish our CEO, CPO, and Chief Engineering Officer’s voice in the market.
  • Enable the sales team with tools, training, and content such as pitch decks, demo scripts, case studies, and competitive analyses.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Field, and Corporate marketing teams to integrate AI products into broader marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to align on features, customer needs, and product improvements.
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts, using data to optimize campaigns and drive growth.

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years in product marketing, with a focus on AI, SaaS, or data-related products; at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in growth marketing techniques and early-stage start-up marketing strategies.
  • Proven success in launching and growing disruptive products, especially in data or analytics.
  • Strong strategic thinking and tactical execution skills to drive product adoption and revenue.
  • Leadership experience across cross-functional teams including product, sales, engineering, and customer success.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to craft compelling messages and influence stakeholders.
  • Comfort with data and analytics to assess campaign success and inform strategy.
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments with high adaptability.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred:

  • Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or Snowflake products and support teams.
  • Pragmatic Marketing certification is a plus.

At Matillion, we offer competitive compensation aligned with market standards, based on role, experience, and qualifications. The estimated annual salary range for this position is £80,000 - £120,000, with final salary determined during hiring.
