Are you a finance professional with an interest in revenue recognition and accounting? You'll support the end-to-end revenue recognition process for our global consumption based business model. You'll work closely with Accounts Receivable, Sales Operations, IT and FP&A to understand contract terms and ensure appropriate application and compliance with IFRS 15 standards. This is a high-impact role that will provide exposure to global accounting practices and system automation and improvement projects.
Responsibilities- Support the month-end and quarter-end revenue close process, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Support the accurate application of revenue recognition policies under IFRS 15.
- Partner closely with Accounts Receivable team to reconcile revenue, billing, and collections activity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Revenue Operations, IT, FP&A, and Deal Desk to understand contract terms and support with revenue assessments and implications.
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements to improve the efficiency of the revenue process.
- Support internal and external audit processes, including the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
- Experience in an accounting, financial reporting, or audit role, ideally within SaaS and/or global accounting experience.
- Exposure to revenue recognition with an understanding of IFRS 15/ASC 606 standards.
- ERP systems experience (Oracle or Netsuite is preferred).
- Strong analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to solve problems and work with large complex data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude and desire to learn and grow within a fast-moving, collaborative global team.
At Matillion, we are committed to providing compensation in line with market standards based on the role, job family, job level and country. This role's estimated annual salaried pay range for this position is £35,360 - £53,040. The final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
