We are looking for a Director, Programmes and Product Operations to join our global team. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will serve as the operational backbone for the Product organisation, ensuring absolute clarity, alignment and efficiency across all Product initiatives. This is an ideal role for someone who can and wants to be both an operator and strategist; someone who can architect and enable the systems, cadences and frameworks so that Product can operate at peak performance and drive our next phase of growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance the Product team’s performance, driving and tracking execution against strategic goals, OKRs, and priorities.
  • Build and maintain the operational heartbeat of the Product organisation, including defining planning cadences, leadership team rhythms, and essential communication flows.
  • Own all Project and Programme Management frameworks, including processes, methodologies, and tools to improve execution, and drive operational efficiency and project delivery at scale.
  • Direct the preparation and facilitation of leadership offsites, quarterly planning sessions, and strategic reviews.
  • Oversee multiple major projects and programmes with complex interdependencies, proactively identifying risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies, and proposing data-driven solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with executive and senior-level stakeholders to align strategies, gain support for project delivery, and provide clear operational reporting.
  • Act as a culture champion, fostering collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement, and lead a small team to embed strong operational and project-management disciplines across the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in a Chief of Staff, Product Operations, Strategy, or Programme Management leadership role, preferably within a B2B SaaS or technology environment.
  • Proven success in establishing and/or leading a Project/Programme Management function, including defining frameworks, processes, and governance.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and optimise operational frameworks for product or technology teams.
  • Deep understanding of product development lifecycles with the ability to support technical delivery.
  • Exceptional written communication and narrative development, with high proficiency in creating executive-ready presentations and dashboards.
  • High Emotional Intelligence and the ability to foster collaboration, champion culture, and influence diverse teams.

At Matillion, we are committed to providing compensation in line with market standards based on the role, job family, job level and country. This role's estimated annual salaried pay range for this position is £105,600 – £158,400. The final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
