Senior Application Engineer - Radar & Signal Processing

MathWorks has a hybrid work model that enables staff members to split their time between office and home. The role will allow you to be a thought leader, technical expert, and team player advising industry on how to improve Radar, Wireless Communications and other Signal Processing products using MATLAB and Simulink.

Responsibilities

  • Understand key business and technical challenges for signal processing and communications customers in the aerospace and defence industry.
  • Analyze and model challenging analysis and modelling problems.
  • Support adoption of MATLAB and Simulink by analyzing customer requirements, guiding product evaluations and creating proofs of concept.
  • Identify new trends and collaborate with teams to develop compelling messages and demonstrations.
  • Advocate the future direction of MathWorks products.

Qualifications

  • Experience using MATLAB and Simulink for signal processing, radar or communication system simulation.
  • Experience deploying algorithms to hardware such as embedded processors, FPGAs, GPUs.
  • Ability to scope, lead, and work on multiple technical projects concurrently.
  • Willingness to travel an average of 1 day a week (within UK and Europe).
  • A bachelor’s degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master’s degree and 3 years of experience, a PhD, or equivalent).
