Math Works is seeking a

Marketing and Business Development Specialist to drive engagement with startup/accelerators and innovation ecosystems across EMEA.

In this role, you will build and expand relationships with accelerator organizations, increase awareness of Math Works products and programs, and help create new business opportunities with startups developing innovative technologies.

Working closely with the Global Startup Team, Sales, and Field Marketing, you will identify strategic accelerator/incubator partnerships, promote adoption of MATLAB and Simulink within startup communities, and contribute to pipeline growth through business development and ecosystem engagement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Ecosystem Development & Partnership Management
  • Identify, engage, and develop relationships with startup accelerators, incubators, innovation hubs, industry organizations, and government-supported innovation programs across EMEA.
  • Build and maintain relationships with executive leaders, program managers, community managers, and other key stakeholders within accelerator organizations.
  • Expand awareness and participation in the Math Works Startup and Accelerator Program among target organizations.
  • Identify emerging startup ecosystem trends, technology focus areas, and strategic partnership opportunities to support Math Works growth objectives.
  • Startup Business Development
  • Develop and execute strategies to generate new business opportunities through accelerator partnerships.
  • Identify and prioritize target accelerator organizations and startup communities aligned with Math Works strategic growth areas.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to create and advance opportunities with startup companies.
  • Identify opportunities to increase adoption of Math Works products within accelerator programs and startup cohorts.
  • Marketing & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with EMEA Field Marketing teams to leverage campaigns, events, digital programs, and customer stories to increase awareness of Math Works solutions within the startup ecosystem.
  • Support content development activities, including startup and accelerator success stories, interviews, and other awareness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Global Startup Team to ensure alignment of regional activities with worldwide startup engagement strategies.
  • Business Operations
  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities, opportunities, and forecasts using Salesforce.
  • Monitor performance against key business development and program objectives and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Track program participation, product usage, and engagement metrics to measure impact and identify growth opportunities.
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a Ph D degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
